This season's wreath making workshops were a huge success. Over 180 people came and made a wreath this year, and it was amazing to see all the different variations. All were beautiful and natural, and they seemed to get bigger and bigger as the workshops progressed!
We used mostly natural foraged materials, such as Rosehips, Fircones, Old Man's Beard, Spindleberry, Mistletoe, Ivy, Teasles, Hawthorn and all sorts of different Pine and Fir foliages. Some people then decided to 'upgrade' their wreath with a bag of goodies such as Cinnamon sticks, Apples, Oranges and Chillies or alternatively there were beautiful Roses, Cabbages, Thistles and pretty ribbon, if you wanted a more luxurious look!
Most people who hadn't done it before were very sceptical that they could produce anything they'd be proud to hang on their front door - but every single one was a masterpiece and I would have gladly hung it on my own front door!
It really was a wonderful way to get in the festive mood, with mulled wine, nibbles and carols and a lovely way to catch up with your friends or meet new people!
Bookings for next Christmas's workshops will be taken from late summer. Look out on Facebook for reminders or email me to be put on the mailing list.
A huge thank you to all the lovely hosts who invited me into their homes and had to clear up afterwards!! x
