Sarah's vision for her wedding was natural hedgerow foraged foliage and berries in Autumn tones. Candles were placed in logs and mini milk bottles were filled with Old Man's Beard, Rosehips, Crab Apples, Ivy and Mistletoe.
The theme was carried through to the bouquets, using berries, seed heads, rustic Hydrangeas turning red, with Wax Flower, Narcissi, Ranunculus and gorgeous Grand Prix Roses. Sarah's best friend made some flowers from felt to be added to the bouquet as well, which added a lovely personal touch.
Congratulations to Sarah and Gordon!
A Late Summer Wedding at Notley Abbey, Buckinghamshire
I suggested a heart for the main door to the house, which looked amazing on the old Tudor door. This was filled with Roses, spray Roses, Hydrangea and other bit and pieces!
The table decorations were quite simple tall Lily vases with arrangements of foliage, Lilies and Roses on top. The height accommodated for the high ceilings of the barn and looked wonderful en mass.
The bridesmaids hand tied bouquets were a a mix of Vendella Roses to match
Valery's with beautiful antique Pink roses, and Agapanthus, Bouvardia, Freesia,
Lisianthus and Hydrangea.
In the drinks reception room, Valery wanted a bit of colour to brighten up what would have been quite a plain space. We decided that two dozen jam jars filled with flowers from my cutting garden would do the trick! These would a great cost effective way of filling a large space, as the guests would only be in there for a hour or so.
A Barn Wedding on the Edge of the Berkshire Downs
Keira and Martin were married in church in East Hendred Near Wantage on the edge of the Berkshire Downs. The reception was held at Lains Barn a beautiful wedding venue close by.
Keira chose beautifully scented David Austin 'Patience' Roses for her own bouquet with Freesia and Gypsohilia. For the bridesmaids she chose Blue Hydrangeas with Avalanche Roses, freesia and cottage garden flowers such as Astrantia, Ammi and Scabious.
The Buttonholes were made up of home grown Alchemilla Mollis, Astrantia and Scabious wrapped in rustic garden twine.
A beautiful addition to the wedding flowers was a heart wreath placed on the church gate. This heart is made up of Avalanche Roses and Cottage garden flowers such as Ammi, Phlox, Astrantia and Scabious.
Vintage Country Wedding in the Vale of The White Horse
Annie and Humphrey's English country garden wedding was over-flowing with beautiful details, from the bespoke table plan in a suitcase and bicycle biscuit favours to the tiny individual wedding cakes.
Other features included the stacks of vintage crates at the entrance to both tents, with pitchers of flowers, vintage books, tea pots, old cans and tea caddies all filled with garden flowers.
The little bridesmaids wore half flower crowns of Cornflowers and the buttonholes were a mixture of pretty flowers wrapped in garden twine to continue the rustic look.
Annie and Humphrey were helped by Samantha at Oh So Perfect Weddings who made all the beautiful pompoms you can see hanging from the trees, and planned their wedding day to perfection!
Hanna & Andrew's Wedding in late May at The Donnington Grove.
The ceremony flowers were two large pedestals and a mantlepiece arrangement. These were done in a wild and country style. Cow parsley and vibrant Beech leaves complimented the Roses, Peonies and huge Hydrangeas and cottage garden flowers.
The wedding breakfast was held on one large table in the beautiful Blue room with it's high ceiling. To compliment the height of the room, Hanna decided to have tall vase arrangements as a show piece along the length of the table. In between these were little vases crammed with delicate Ammi and fat roses!
I love my job, being a part of someone's most special day is a real privilege, but what make it really worthwhile, and brings a tear to my eye is when you receive feedback like this:
'Thank you so much for the most beautiful flower arrangements I have ever seen! Your flowers for my wedding were truly amazing, I was just blown away at how wonderful our wedding looked because of the beautiful flowers - they truly made a difference. I received so many lovely comments on the flower arrangements and we've brought them all home with us to enjoy. Your flowers on my wedding made my day even more special and I just can't thank you enough for making my wedding day absolutely perfect xxx'

Honor & Oliver's Wedding in April 2013 at Englefield, Nr Reading.
Last weekend I had the pleasure of doing flowers for an old school friend. Kelly chose a vintage theme of gorgeous muted tones of antique Pinks, Ivory and and Greens. I used gorgeous Ammi and Astrantia to give the bouquet a country feel and the most heavenly scented Ivory Roses and Lilac.
The buttonholes were wrapped in rustic twine and were a mixture of Ranunculus and Anemone with Wax Flower and Astrantia.
Here is a picture for Kelly looking gorgeous with her son.
The table decorations were a mixture of quart pint milk bottles and kilner jars filled with similar flowers which looked amazing teamed with Kelly's beautiful favours and tea lights.
Last weekend Sian and Craig got married at Purley Church, and then went on to The Old Mill in Aldermaston for the reception.
Sian's flower theme was inspired by vintage and cottage garden flowers which produced the most romantic bouquet. Teamed with the vintage lace around the stems, the overall look was simply beautiful.
Sian had wanted peonies in her bouquet, but sadly these are unavailable at this time of the year, but I managed to source some beautiful old fashioned spray roses in quite a bright pink which looked amazing next the the dusky shade of the antique rose, and then I added the vibrant green of the Alchemilla Mollis to complete the vintage feel.
Sian looked amazing on her wedding day and I felt so proud to be a small part of it!

Flowers from my cutting garden were used to create these show stopper arrangements for a country village christening recently. A little boy and girl were being christened so I could go wild with pink and blue and every shade in-between!
I can do as little or as much for any party or entertaining, so please call me to discuss your requirements!
